DataForge LITE: ScriptableObject Spreadsheet Editor for Unity
A downloadable tool
DataForge LITE is a free, open-source Unity Editor tool that shows all your ScriptableObjects of one type as a spreadsheet. Every asset becomes a row and every serialized field a column, so you can balance enemies, items, weapons, levels or shop prices in one place instead of clicking through assets one by one in the Inspector.
Features
- Grid view of real assets: pick a ScriptableObject type and every asset of that type shows up as a row
- Inline editing with full Undo (Ctrl+Z works as usual)
- Search, sort and filter rows
- Show and hide columns
- Copy and paste single cells
- Supports int, float, bool, string, enum, Color, Vector2/3/4, AnimationCurve, Gradient, LayerMask and object references
- Editor-only: nothing ships in your game build, and there are no dependencies
Install
Package Manager → + → Add package from git URL:https://github.com/Ragendom69/dataforge-lite.git
Or download the zip here, unzip it and use Add package from disk on its package.json. Needs Unity 2021.3 or newer (tested on Unity 6).
Then open Window → DataForge → Open DataForge (Ctrl+Alt+D). Demo data (enemies, items, weapons) is in the package's Samples tab.
